Community First! Village is a groundbreaking, 51-acre, master-planned community that provides permanent housing for individuals transitioning out of chronic homelessness. When Phase II of the development was completed in 2023, the Village was improved with over 300 micro-homes, including 20 units that were built by means of 3D construction printing. Shared amenities include laundry rooms, outdoor kitchens, community gardens, a market, and an amphitheater, as well as on-site services that provide mental health support and job opportunities for the residents. A key aspect of the project was the collaborative nature of its development. Residents, volunteers, and multiple architectural firms were involved in the process, which resulted in a design that is defined by diversity.
